Join Us for Infant Vitality Advocacy Day

Calling all Queens: Please join us in Columbus on September 12 and 13 for the first-ever Ohio Infant Vitality Advocacy Day.

In partnership with CelebrateOne and First Year Cleveland, we are bringing together passionate advocates, healthcare professionals and community leaders to address critical gaps in maternal and infant health care and support in Ohio. With a focus on raising awareness and advancing budget and policy priorities, we will promote a shared agenda to lawmakers with leaders from Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati.

Events include:

Advocacy Training with Groundwork Ohio | Virtual | Friday, September 8, 10am

Led by Ohio Collaborative to Prevent Infant Mortality (OCPIM) and Groundwork Ohio, a nonpartisan policy research and advocacy group dedicated to children and their families from prenatal to age 5. This crash course in advocacy will prepare you to meet with legislators and their staff — from crafting your message to sharing your message and following up. Register here.

An Infant Vitality Advocacy Reception | Ohio Statehouse | Tuesday, September 12, 5pm-6:30pm

Join us in the Museum Gallery on the ground floor as we celebrate the efforts of advocates and legislators to provide a strong foundation for mothers and babies by addressing maternal and infant mortality and improving conditions for families to thrive. RSVP to Rachel Schubert at rachel@capitolpartnersohio.com or by phone at (412) 508-2974.

Ohio Legislator Meetings | Ohio Statehouse | Wednesday, September 13

This is your time to meet with legislators to raise awareness of maternal and infant health, promote access to quality healthcare and advocate for policy changes that will have a significant impact for Black families. To set up meetings, reach out to your legislators’ offices directly. Visit Ohio Senate and Ohio House of Representatives to learn who your representatives are.
